This exciting and comprehensive exhibition from Long Museum will present 83 works of calligraphy and painting artifacts from a time period spanning the early to late Ming Dynasty. Included in this beautiful collection are calligraphy, paintings and letters from the Zhejiang School, the Wu School to the Songjiang School and contemporaries, involving nearly 60 creators.

2023年4月28日 至7月9日,龙美术馆(西岸馆)将呈现艺术家臧坤坤的最新个展“臧坤坤:行走此时此地”,由德国策展人、艺术史学者露丝•诺雅克(Ruth Noack)策划,梳理艺术家自2009年以来开启的六个系列作品。

From 28th April to 9th July, artist Zang Kunkun's solo exhibition Zang Kunkun-Walking Here and Now will be on view at Long Museum (West Bund), Shanghai. Curated by German curator and art historian Ruth Noack, the exhibition is a compilation of six series that the artist has initiated since 2009.

长期以来,臧坤坤的创作国绕当代城市中模版化的空洞景观展开,他以公共空间中的图像物件作为基本词汇,重组语言般地反复操练其形式,让商场海报、告示牌、健身器材或垃圾桶等脱离日常意义,以此反思社会建构的品位与价值系统。

Zang Kunkun’s work has long revolved around the beguiling yet sometimes vacuous landscapes of our contemporary cityscapes. Adopting public images and objects as his artistic vocabulary, he repeated reorganizes their forms as a linguistic manipulate by removing commercial posters, billboards, fitness equipment or garbage cans from their everyday meanings, in order to rethink socially constructed taste and value systems.

韩乙田:无聊之人

韩乙田作为成长于八零年代后期的艺术家,从自身生活环境出发以无聊探索自我存在,并通过其全新个展“无聊之人”向观众提出一个值得思考的问题:现代人是否都期待一种仅存的「无聊感」?

“无聊之人”呈现的作品不仅是艺术家韩乙田对寻常生活日记般的记录捕捉,更是他从看似无聊的细微末节中找寻“有聊”的再创作。比如同名系列作品《无聊之人》(MR.BUZZ),就缘起于艺术家曾在废旧课桌上的涂鸦。画中主人公的名字MR.BUZZ,即致敬了卓别林的电影《摩登时代》,也体现了艺术家所认为无聊状态下脑海里存在的声音情景。韩乙田将自己从陷入无聊的时空中抽离出来,用人们熟悉的方式在该场景里创作,并通过再呈现的方式还原该场景。彼时画满涂鸦的课桌变成了引发人们回忆与共鸣的作品。

Han Yitian, an artist born in the late 1980s, takes his own living environment as a point of departure to explore his own existence through boredom, and raises a question worth serious thinking in his new solo exhibition MR. BUZZ: do all contemporary people expect a sense of boredom?

Works on view at MR. BUZZ are not only Han’s diary-like record of life, but also his re-creation of the seemingly “boring” subtleties in the hope to search for something “unboring” from within. Take MR. BUZZ, the eponymous work of the exhibition, for example. The artist draws inspiration from the graffiti he once saw on abandoned school desks. The name of the protagonist, Mr Buzz, is a homage to Modern Times by Charlie Chaplin, and reflects the sound effect the artist imagines “boredom” would leave on people’s mind. Detaching himself from the time and space in which he is trapped in boredom, Han Yitian then chooses to create in this scenario in a way that is familiar to people and restores the scene through re-presentation. The desk covered with graffiti now has become a work that ignites memories and resonance.

卢梭的《论人类不平等起源和基础》中提出:“将现代人与野人相比,两者谁更幸福?”在卢梭看来,这点毋庸置疑,一定是野人。卢梭笔下的“野人”也许意味着物欲的一无所有,与现代社会每日奔波劳碌的人类相比,有着更为富足的精神世界,享受着因为极低欲望所付出的时间和身体的成本。tiaotiao作为“都市野人”,既是徐沫对抗现实世界的价值观,也是可量化自我态度的路径。“都市野人”的概念将属于多变的形式,承载多样化思考与表达的身体。

In A Discourse on Inequality, Rousseau raised the question that if a comparison was to be made between modern and natural man, who was happier? According to Rousseau, the answer was clear and easy to see: the natural man. While it is clear that the natural man might own nothing materially speaking; but compared with modern man, they were more abundant spiritually and enjoyed a life with low desires and hence lower cost of time and energy. As a “urban bigfoot”, TiaoTiao demonstrate both Xu Mo’s vision to confront the reality world and a path of quantifiable self-attitudes. Under its various forms and images, the “urban bigfoot” contains the possibilities for diverse thinking and expression.

A provoking and intriguing exhibition from HOW Art Museum, this collection seeks to consider and challenge our understanding of how we perceive and the assumptions we hold as to our interpretation of reality. By seeking to understand the complex and multi-layered veins of time in our modern existence, the following of linear time streams to describe our existence is brought into question.

You and I as people of some experience of the contemporary are the minimum unit to constitute the complex and multi-layeredveins of time of contemporaneity. Hence we shall not follow linear time to describe the nature of things. The exhibition on view here, a joyous celebration of the fifth anniversary of HOW Art Museum Shanghai features 36 pieces of installations and videos by 24artists both at home and from abroad including Lee Bul, Liu Wei, Zhang Peili, Lin Tianmiao, Markus Lüpertz and CarstenNicolai.You and I need to firmly hold our gaze so as to perceive not its light, but rather its darkness.

由宝龙美术馆主办、上海塞万提斯图书馆支持,许华琳担任出品人,王晓松策划的西班牙艺术家帕科·波梅特(Paco Pomet)的在中国的首次个人作品展“热图”,于2023年4月29日-6月4日期间在宝龙美术馆展出。

帕科坚持用具象绘画的手法、二次元元素的引用创造出一个又一个超现实物理的空间,从那些几乎每一个人都可以轻松获得的历史老照片、电视新闻图片、漫画和公共涂鸦中,沿着图式的动态结构关系肆意想象,打造出一个个新世界。帕科喜欢用“单调”的黑白灰为基调,使画面有一种时间间隔,但又用“单一”的艳丽颜色来“打破”其中的时间和空间模式,最终在已有的图像世界中创造着一个个充满了灰色幽默感的未来新世界。这种灰色幽默,或可以在西班牙文化艺术的“戏剧性”中找到根据,而他作品中的亲切、智性和朴素又能消解了艺术的陌生感,充满魅惑。

Organized by Powerlong Museum with support from the Cervantes Library in Shanghai, presented by Hualin Xu and curated by Xiaosong Wang, the first solo exhibition of Spanish artist Paco Pomet's works in China, "Heat Map", will be on view at Powerlong Museum from April 29th to June 4th 2023.

Paco insists on using figurative painting techniques and references to secondary elements to create one surreal physical space after another, creating new worlds along the dynamic structural relationships of diagrams from historical photos, TV news images, comics and public graffiti that are easily accessible to almost everyone. Paco likes to use "monotonous" black and white and gray as the base, so that the images have a kind of time interval, but then "break" the temporal and spatial patterns with "single" bright colors, ultimately In the existing image world, a new world of the future is created with a sense of gray humor. This gray humor may find its basis in the "theatricality" of Spanish culture and art, while the intimacy, wisdom and simplicity of his works dissolve the strangeness of art and are full of charm.

2023年4月22日至7月23日,上海当代艺术博物馆携手卡地亚当代艺术基金会呈现法国摄影师、电影导演雷蒙·德巴东(Raymond Depardon)在中国的首次个展——“现代生活”,感受他自上世纪70年代以来对当代摄影的深度革新。

通过近百幅作品及一部主题电影,本次展览试图与观众分享艺术家如何运用图像进行简单而直白的叙述,并谦逊地将画面留给拍摄对象,不刻意追求决定性的瞬间。德巴东始终在寻找将人和地点建立起某种关系的最佳距离,他边聆听边让对象们发声,以人文的目光看世界。

本次展览的标题——“现代生活”,源自2008年雷蒙·德巴东与克劳迪娜·努加雷(Claudine Nougaret)共同拍摄的《农民剪影》三部曲中的最后一部。“现代生活”讲述的不仅是德巴东的乡村情节,也意在呈现法国当下的乡村、市郊、灰色地带,这些波澜不惊的地方与人们对法国固有的视觉联想——如诗如画或者罗曼蒂克大相径庭。作为农民的儿子,德巴东在讲述自己故事的同时也讲述着世界,在黑白和彩色的切换中再造风景摄影。

From April 22 to July 23, 2023, the Power Station of Art and the Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain present Raymond Depardon, La vie moderne, the first solo exhibition in China of French photographer and filmmaker Raymond Depardon who, since the 1970s, has profoundly redefined the world of contemporary photography.

Showcasing a hundred photographs and one feature film, the exhibition shares the approach of the artist whose visual language is simple and often frontal, keeping the subject in a central position. Always searching for the right distance, Raymond Depardon builds relationships between people and places. Helistens and gives others a chance to speak, and projects a humanistic view of the world.

This exhibition is grounded in an over thirty years relationship between Raymond Depardon and the Fondation Cartierpour l'art contemporain. Founded on a shared vision of our contemporary society, its issues and its challenges, this uninterrupted dialogue has grown and prospered through many projects: 14 solo and group exhibitions, 19 books, and the production of 8 films. The Fondation Cartier’s collection also conserves 570 photographs by the artist including the entire collection of the La France and Rural photos.

This long-term relationship that links the photographer with the Fondation Cartier is characteristic of the manner in which the Fondation Cartier has operated since its creation in 1984; it allows itself to be led and inspired by artists who, through exhibitions, commissions, or publications, introduce it to philosophy, anthropology, and the sciences, and cultivate its ability to question, reflect, and develop its curiosity. Following the 2022 presentationof the largest exhibition ever of the artist's work in Milan, the Fondation Cartier offers today the Chinese public the opportunity to discover a novel interpretation of his work.

TANK Shanghai 隆重呈现艺术家陈天灼的个展「山水」。展览以《尘埃》与《海笼》两条作品线索展开,提出了跨物种、跨生命的纠缠,呈现了一则寓言,描绘了人内化于自然的另类关系。

从西藏高原到印尼深海,从达姆寺的天葬台到尼西亚拉玛雷拉渔村周日的礼拜,从盘旋的秃鹫到鲸鱼之眼,从僧人的经文吟诵到人工智能生成的祖先哝语,死亡、重生、苍风、泡沫、残垣、明鬼、存在、无为都被同时安放在「山水」之间,构成一种连续性的创生过程,一种调和生命能量的循环运动。在「山水」中,人并非莽劲森然,而更似“可有可无”,或一条并不孤单的线索——人与山川、河流、动物、植物、灵体与机器缠绕。在此,人与自然编织、感应,通过共同的涌现、造梦与钩织地方之特殊性而构成一个共生的寰宇。

TANK Shanghai presents artist Chen Tianzhuo's solo exhibition, Illuminated Spirits, unfolds with two projects, The Dust and Ocean Cage, that together propose ideas of cross-species and cross-life entanglement, presenting an allegory depicting an alternative relationship of humans within nature.

This provocative exhibition offers us some compelling contrasts to strike up our imagination and confound our expectations. Imagine, if you will, some of the juxtapositions presented to us here… From such a clash of environments as the heights of the Tibetan Plateau to the depths of the Indonesian Sea, from the celestial burial ground at Damu Temple to the Sunday worship in the fishing village at Lamlera, from swirling vultures to the eye of the whale, from the scriptures chanted by monks to the ancestral mumbling generated by artificial intelligence… The cycle of death and rebirth, the poignant sensations of wind, foam, debris, ghosts, beings, and nothingness are all simultaneously positioned inIlluminated Spirits, consisting of a continuous poiesis, and a cycle of reconciliation and life-energy mediation. In the exhibition, humans are not sinister, eerie, or uncanny; on the contrary, they are dispensable, abstract, and insignificant, merely a manifold thread intertwined with mountains, rivers, animals, plants, spirits, and machines. In this way, humans and nature are woven together and resonate with one another, constituting a symbiotic cosmos by co-emerging, co-dreaming, and weaving a specificity of 'locality'.

Creating fictions, inventing other worlds, dreaming and performing extrapolations allows us to experience worlds beyond the rules of logic. "Suspension of Disbelief " welcomes the impossible, the uncertain and the unimaginable, creating a journey that pulls the human will back into fantasy through the work of seven international artists. Each artist creates his or her own cosmology, drawing the viewer into a world where language is fallible, where times and identities are fluid, and where humans coexist with and learn from other species on an equal footing.

没顶画廊欣然宣布将于2023年5月6日开幕艺术家边云翔在画廊的首次个展“河西闻记”(A Trio of Tales),呈现其影像三部曲《走廊》(Corridor)(2021)、《山脊》(Arête)(2022)、《内陆》(Bled)(2023)。三部短片共同探讨了艺术家持续关注思考的一个政治哲学悖论——人类社会处于“永恒的对抗状态”,这种“动态的停滞”正是对于文明与自然关系的兼具总括性与迫切性的论断。

MadeInGallery is pleased to announce the opening of "A Trio of Tales", the first solo exhibition of artist Bian Yunxiang at the gallery on May 6, 2023, presenting his video trilogy Corridor (2021), Arete ( 2022) and Bled (2023). . The three short films cohesively explore a political-philosophical paradox that constitutes theartist's ongoing concern, namely, human society is in a state of "eternal confrontation", a "dynamic stasis"that makes a conclusive and urgent verdict to the relationship between civilizationand nature.


关于边云翔

边云翔,1991年出生于兰州,2019年硕士毕业于英国皇家艺术学院,现工作和生活于上海。边云翔关注技术对国际地缘政治秩序的主要影响,通过构建数字地缘景观,生成在后殖民主义与全球对抗语境下具有诗意的动态图像。其作品曾在伦敦,埃因霍温,都柏林,高雄等地展出,近期参加的展览包括:示范:做决定技术的艺术,复星艺术中心,上海,中国,2023;BXQ2022实验影像周,北京,中国,2022;USB多端口链接展,乔空间,上海,中国,2021;第17届雅典数字艺术节,雅典,希腊,2021;荷兰设计周,埃因霍温,荷兰,2020。

Bian Yunxiang was born in Lanzhou (China) in 1991. He graduated from the Royal College of Art with a Master in Digital Direction and currently lives and works in Shanghai. Bian's practice revolves around major impacts of technology on international geopolitical order. Structuring digital geo-landsacpes,he generates poetic motion graphics in the context of post-colonism and global confrontation. His works have been exhibitedin London,Eindhoven,Dublin,Kaohsiung.His recent exhibitions include"Demonstration: The Art of Decision-Making Techniques", Fosun Foundation, Shanghai, China, 2023;BXQ2022 Experimental Image Week, Beijing, China, 2022; "USB", Qiao Space, Shanghai, China, 2021;17th Athens Digital Arts Festival, Athens, Greece (2021), Dutch Design Week, Eindhoven, Netherlands(2020).

没顶画廊欣然宣布将于2023年5月6日开幕艺术家傅斯特在中国大陆的同名个展,呈现其全新绘画作品。傅斯特探索图像与绘画的张力,主张“绘画过程在图像的压制下寻找自由空间的可能”,从而在两者之间达到某种平衡。基于此,傅斯特通过直觉想象来构建形象,从而在在画布上创造出“处于‘中间状态’的有机形体”。本次个展中,艺术家在新的绘画对象之上沿用并进一步开拓了过往的创作方式,实现了多种生物体间抽象形态的不断转化。

MadeIn Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of artist Fu Site's first solo exhibition in China on May 6, 2023, presenting the artist's latest paintings. Fu explores the tension between image and painting, advocating “the painting process’ potential to seek for free space under the suppression of image”,thus achieving a certain balance between the two. Herefrom, Fu constructs images through intuitiveimagination to create "organic in-between forms” on the canvas. In “FU SITE”, the artist further extends hispast practice method to the painted objects and realizes a consistent transformation of abstract formsamong diversified living organisms.

外滩百年建筑呈现艺术家梦境中的空间,作为SUAF"策展型复合体验空间"示范点,以展览为核心辐射餐饮、演出、零售等内容,并以此模式推出为期12个月的复合空间合作。

2023年5月2日至2023年6月6日,上海沙美大楼呈现一场寻找本我内心深处意识而构想的艺术群展:如梦似梦。本次展出25名艺术家作品,通过“绿野仙踪“,“光怪陆离”,“城市伊甸园”三个板块汇聚本次展览。结合抽象和写实,涵盖装置、雕塑、绘画、数字等多种艺术形式,并使用置景贴合作品,以平面、空间、场域角度打造艺术家作品场景化。

"如果你说你见过这样的场景,那一定是在你的梦里。这是场关于梦境的旅行,我们分别提取艺术家作品中的免子和花元素作为媒介串联诠释梦境,以免子代表本我的形象,花代表内心深处的情绪呈现自我对话的探讨,构建多重梦境的故事。通过在不同层级梦境空问进行穿梭,在不同形象之间进行转化,走进艺术家的世界,感受艺术家内心创作的密码,探讨现实与梦境之间的相互关系。”

The Bund's century-old building presents a space in the artist's dream world as a demonstration site for SUAF's "curatorial complex experience space", with the exhibition as the core of the content of food and beverage, performance, retail, etc., and this model will be launched for a 12-month complex space cooperation. A group exhibition conceived as a search for consciousness: Like a Dream. The works of 25 artists will be presented in three sections: "Wizard of Oz", "Light and Strange" and "Urban Eden". The exhibition combines abstraction and realism, covering various art forms such as installation, sculpture, painting and digital, and uses scenery to fit the works, creating scenes of the artists' works by plane, space and field.

"If you say you have seen a scene like this, it must be in your dream. The rabbit represents the image of the self, and the flower represents the deep emotion of the heart, presenting the exploration of self-talk and building multiple dream stories. From May 6th to June 11th, 2023, Ming Yuan Group and MingYuan Museum will jointly present "Beyond BEYOND 2003-2023", a special exhibition of 20 years of art in Ming Yuan, which highlights the 30th anniversary of Ming Yuan Group in Shanghai. It is of extraordinary value and significance to examine how they influence our artistic perceptions and how the artistic ecology interacts with each other and transforms. 2023年5月1日-6月30日,上海浦东碧云美术馆将呈现《“你好!小朋友”:秋山亮二与我们&捉迷藏:童年的显影》双联展。展览由摄影史学者何伊宁担任策展人,展览分别呈现⽇本摄影师秋⼭亮⼆“你好!⼩朋友” 系列,以及中国艺术家曹澍、鲁⼩本、⻢海伦、王雪、谢灵柔、张晓、赵谦、赵与林和朱岚清在近年来围绕⼉童议题、童年记忆和⾏为等相关议题创作的作品。在“捉迷藏:童年的显影”,参展艺术家们从⼉童⽇常肖像照⽚的拍摄,到对家庭相册中童年照⽚不同形式的挪⽤,再到沙盘游戏中对⼉童⼼理和⾏为的再现,展现出当代影像艺术在探索童年之相关议题上的丰富实践与路径。

From May 1st to June 30th, 2023, Shanghai Pudong Biyun Art Museum will present "Dear Old Days": Ryoji Akiyama and Us & Hide and Seek: The Appearances of Childhood, a double exhibition. Curated by photography historian He Yining, the exhibition presents Japanese photographer Ryoji Akiyama's "Dear Old Days" series, as well as works by Chinese artists Cao Shu, Lu Xiaoben, Hailun Xie, Wang Xue, Xie Lingrou, Zhang Xiao, Zhao Qian, Zhao and Lin, and Zhu Lanqing, who have created works in recent years on issues related to children, childhood memories and behavior. In "Hide-and-Seek: Childhood Appearances," the exhibiting artists showcase the rich practices and paths of contemporary video art in exploring issues related to childhood, from the taking of daily portraits of children, to the appropriation of different forms of childhood photographs from family albums, to the reproduction of children's memories and behaviors in sandbox games.

BLANKgallery is pleased to announce the solo exhibition "Departed Soul" by artist Zhang Wei, to be held on May 13, 2023. The exhibition will be a collection of Zhang Wei's works from 2019 to 2023, featuring a selection of acrylic-on-canvas scenes interspersed with works that use a combination of media to highlight the narrative of each piece, and to draw out the spiritual energy of Zhang Wei's works, which are composed of color. 上海外滩美术馆(RAM)欣悦呈现常驻荷兰鹿特丹的艺术家王伊芙苓韬程(Evelyn Taocheng Wang,1981年出生于中国成都)的个展“参差的对照”(An Equivocal Contrast)。王伊芙苓韬程以在绘画、写作、表演和录像等不同媒介中混入富有想象力、多层次、碎片化和矛盾的叙事而知名。作为从中国移居荷兰的艺术家,王伊芙苓韬程的创作深深根植于她所置身的社会语境。她的作品兼容情感、诗歌和自传成分,将超然和深刻的表达与看似肤浅的表面、无关紧要和荒谬不经的评论交织,同时又不乏戏谑的机敏。

“参差的对照”是王伊芙苓韬程首次在欧美之外举办的美术馆个展。展览将展出十八件作品,其中十七件是艺术家的新作。这些作品围绕她艺术创作中的两条主线展开:艺术家阿格妮丝·马丁(1912-2004)和作家张爱玲(1920-1995)。展览还将展出一件马丁1996年的架上绘画《和平》。艺术家以手卷的概念构思本次展览设计,并融合中国传统民居常见的“一明两暗”格局,邀请观众感受时间和空间,仔细品读。

A new exhibition of the Chinese diaspora artist presents 17 new works across two floors. Taking inspiration from the experience of viewing a Chinese handscroll, the paintings reveal themselves slowly, and viewers read the images as they move throughout the space.

The Rockbund Art Museum (RAM), Shanghai, is pleased to present the first solo museum exhibition of the artist Evelyn Taocheng Wang (b. 1981) in Asia. A Rotterdam-based, Chinese diaspora artist, Wang is renowned for her striking blend of imaginative, layered, fragmented, and paradoxical narrations across various mediums, including painting, drawing, writing, and performance.As an immigrant artist from China who lives and works in the Netherlands, Wang makes work that is deeply rooted in the social context in which she finds herself. Her practice juxtaposes the philosophical and the everyday and merges the emotional, the poetic, and the autobiographical, intertwining transcendental concepts with seemingly superficial and absurd commentaries.

上海外滩美术馆(RAM)欣悦呈现常驻纽约的艺术家王水(WangShui,出生于1986年,美国)的首场机构个展“生生”(poiesis)。这也是美术馆艺术总监朱筱蕤(X Zhu-Nowell)上任后策划的首个展览。王水在创作中运用复杂技术呈现缥缈质感,其艺术实践涉猎广泛,在多层次的绘画、装置与影像中揉入诗意与控制论。展览英文标题取自古希腊语ποίησις(poíēsis),意为“无中生有,创造”。以此为题,展览力图呈现王水对人机之间替代性合作模式的艺术探索,这位非二元性别艺术家将该模式称为“融合多方动因”(integrating diverse agents)。

此次参展作品均为首次展出,集中呈现了王水独特艺术实践的最新面貌。创造力的源泉是否唯有人类意志?艺术家在展览中提出了这一问题,并探询感知的逻辑与(不)可见性的政治。

Known for their technically complex yet ethereal works, WangShui blends poetics and cybernetics in multilayered paintings, installations, and video. This exhibition and new body of work highlight the most recent development of WangShui's singular art practice, questioning the idea of human consciousness as the sole wellspring of creative activity while interrogating the logic of perception and the politics of (in)visibility.

玛丽娜·阿布拉莫维奇 (Marina Abramović) 与中国的缘分由来已久,她和乌雷 (Ulay) 于1988年完成了历时90天的徒步长城壮举,从那时起,中国观众开始认识这位“行为艺术之母”。阿布拉莫维奇不仅希望中国观众在里森画廊上海空间的个展欣赏到她除了表演之外的其他作品,通过摄影、物体和影像领略她创作的多样性,包括启发自徒步长城经历的《须臾之物》(Transitory Objects) 系列;还希望本次展览能作为一扇窗口,让观众在她9月于伦敦皇家艺术学院的大型回顾展前,一瞥她长达55年创作生涯。

Marina Abramović has had a long association with China since she and Ulay completed a 90-day trek to the Great Wall in 1988, which introduced Chinese audiences to the "mother of performance art". Abramovic hopes that Chinese audiences will not only enjoy her work beyond performance in her solo exhibition at the Ritson Gallery's Shanghai space, but also appreciate the diversity of her work through photography, objects and video, including the Transitory Objects series inspired by her Great Wall trek; and that this exhibition will serve as a window into her work before her major retrospective at the Royal College of Art in London in September. 展览在甄选法国蓬皮杜中心重量级藏品的基础上,得到上海博物馆的鼎力支持,董其昌、八大山人、恽寿平、龚贤等大家的传世之作同场亮相。展览将溯源此前未曾被充分讨论过的超现实主义与东方文化的关系,藉由胡安·米罗、安德烈·马松、赵无极等诸多超现实主义和抽象主义大师的作品,着重展现这一艺术流派的抽象特性,另辟维度审视超现实主义,引领观众步入一趟追寻20世纪人类思想文明轨迹的精神之旅。


The exhibition is based on a selection of works from the Centre Pompidou's heavyweight collection, with the full support of the Shanghai Museum, and features heirloom works by Dong Qichang, Bada Shanren, Yun Shouping, Gong Xian, and others. The exhibition will trace the relationship between Surrealism and Eastern culture, which has not been fully discussed before. Through the works of Juan Miró, André Masson, Zao Wou-ki and other masters of Surrealism and Abstraction, the exhibition will focus on the abstract nature of this art genre, examine Surrealism in another dimension, and lead the audience into a spiritual journey that traces the trajectory of human thought and civilization in the 20th century.

“孟菲斯不是一种风格,而是一种态度”——前卫大胆、自由反叛、趣味十足,重塑家居设计定义,1980年代风靡全球的时尚美学。作为20世纪最具创新性的后现代设计流派,展览从起源地米兰来到上海艺仓美术馆,以全新的视觉形象与强烈的新文化氛围,带领观众走进孟菲斯充满想象力的梦幻设计世界。

Memphis Again makes its first appearance in China with the support of the Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Shanghai. The exhibition presents almost two-hundred pieces of furniture and objects in the most diverse selection of materials produced between 1981 and 1985 for the Memphis collection. All this is emphasized by an 80s club atmosphere with a soundtrack that traces the disco music of that time and echoes it in a contemporary interpretation. The musical element is fused with evocative lights that allow our models to emerge from the dark like enigmatic apparitions. The atmosphere reverberates with the club culture of the time, where shadow and light, sound and movement, were all enhanced by individuals who brought and contributed their own fantasies and imagination.

张北辰与张紫璇两位新锐青年艺术家近年来分别围绕海岛通信建设和矿业经济展开的部分研究性创作,包括一系列摄影、影像装置、声音,和论文电影。沿着彼此独特的研究方法论和创作路径,两位艺术家呈现了他们对“地下之物”不同的观察与思考,并将其带上地面,邀请我们在一个充满变动、冲突、忧虑、虚实交错的背景下开启对话。这些创作不仅展现了那些发生在不可见处的技术、资本、人力资源暗流,也洞悉了位于可见处的力量何以运作发生——同时塑造了挖掘者和被挖掘物的生命力。

Zhang Beichen and Zhang Zixuan are two emerging young artists who have been working on a series of photographs, video installations, sound and essay films in recent years, focusing on island communication construction and mining economy respectively. Following their unique research methodology and creative paths, the two artists present their different observations and reflections on "underground discoveries" and bring them to the surface, inviting us to open a dialogue in a context full of changes, conflicts, worries, and the interplay of reality and fiction.

‘MEET VAN GOGH’ - Immersive Light and Shadow Exhibition is an immersive light and shadow art space of 600 square metres, using 149 of Van Gogh's classic works as the backdrop for its creation, rendered with digital multimedia technology and combined with the exquisite presentation of sound, light and shadow. The exhibition focuses on Van Gogh's life trajectory and creative journey, exploring his inner world of fervour, romance and poetry, while at the same time being narrative and visually impactful.

Antoni Gaudi's creations reflect his time and transcend it. The traditional architectural styles of Islam, Gothic and Baroque form the base of the great architect's work, and on top of this he developed a highly personal language.

'Preserving the Brain'is a key phase of “Human Brains,” Fondazione Prada’s multidisciplinary project devoted to neuroscience and investigating different disciplines: from neurobiology to philosophy, from psychology to neurochemistry, from linguistics to artificial intelligence. The human brain is examined in the plural—as expressed by the title—to underline its intrinsic complexity and the irreducible singularity of each individual.

Drawing inspiration from Photography and Liquid Intelligence by Jeff Wall, Reflections, a new exhibition by Shanghai based photographer Simon Song, presents a personal exploration of the material, thematic, and representational fluidity of analogue photography through the optic of nature. Reflecting the artist’s keen sensitivity to the materiality of the photographic process as a space of creative and experiential negotiation, the work on display aims to allow the relatively rarified “dry” domain of photographic technique to converge with the formal and phenomenological qualities of the natural world. For example, traces of the artist’s signature work in the darkroom and resin finishing technique are translated into a wide-ranging aesthetic engagement with water.

“ISO”(感光度)作为一个摄影术语,表示对光线的敏感度。与胶卷或数码感光元件不同的是,人眼对光捕捉的“看见”不只是对光子的感应,是掺入心理状态的“感知”。因而将其引入对于江立宁创作方式的观察也不失为一种新鲜而贴切的视角:借助日常经验中对空间的注视,从对光影的身体感知,到镜头捕捉,再到电脑编辑,将具象进行剥离、隐藏和重现,转化出一种克制且隐秘的图像结果,通过传统油画的绘制方式试图将不确定的微妙状态与情感视觉化。

ISO - a professional word from the photography industry, means sensitivity to light. Different from the film or the camera's sensor, what we see with human eyes is not only the sensing of photons but mixing with our perception on the psychological level. Thus it could be a fresh and apt perspective to view the working methods of Jiang Lining: with the daily experience of staring the space, from the body perception of light and shade, camera shooting, then digital editing, the figurative is stripped, hidden, and revived, resulting a restraining and mysterious image. He aims to work with traditional oil painting to visualize the subtlety of uncertainty and emotion.

视线是人类感知世界的一种重要方式,是我们认知和思考的基础之一。本次展览以其为题,旨在揭示视线不仅仅是对客观存在的事物和现象的感知,同时还具有建构意义。面对抽象艺术时,我们很难将之笼统地归类为纯粹的艺术形式,相反,它总是植根于对现实世界的体验。在这个展览中,抽象绘画不是一条通往虚无的隧道,不是让万物消散无影,而是作为一种更有活力的艺术,鲜明地存在。

Marking the foundation for cognition and thought, our sight is central to how we perceive the world. The upcoming exhibition "Sight Lines" brings in a wider horizon to the theme of 'sight', not only as a sensory perception of objective things and phenomena, but also as a creative capacity to construct something new. The works on view arise from a culmination of objects observed and depicted through the eyes of four artists. As subjective and individualised entities, they revise, expand and transform our orthodox visual experiences, thereby leading us to understand, recognise, re-perceive and re-imagine our existing surroundings.

《西行画录·东南园墅——建筑师童寯(1900-1983)特展》呈现了建筑师童寯先生在建筑绘画与园林研究这两个重要领域中的杰出成就。展览通过大量的珍贵手稿、测绘图纸以及实录照片,概述了童寯先生在园林研究方面的学术思想,呈现了江南园林在20世纪30年代的历史风貌。

This special exhibition presents the outstanding achievements and notable contributions of architect Tung Chuin (1900-1983), in the two important fields of architectural painting and garden research. Through a large number of precious manuscripts, mapping drawings and factual photographs, the exhibition outlines Mr Tung's academic thinking on garden research and presents the historical landscape of Jiangnan gardens in the 1930s.

技术进步和文明进步并不能画上等号,创作工具的更新也不能代表艺术本身的革新,那么此刻的创作者该如何通过绘画来提出关于价值的问题?展览通过8位艺术家近年的绘画实践,试图呈现在难以把握的当下,绘画如何通过图像及心理语言提供一种另类的认知路径。他们在社会现实和个体经验之间、个人历史与集体历史的合流中抓取矛盾与必然,经由视觉转译和问题化梳理, 编织抵达集体记忆和集体潜意识的图像网络,藉此展开相异而交叠的思辨。

Technological progress and civilizational progress do not equate, nor does the renewal of creative tools represent an innovation in art itself, so how can creators ask questions about value through painting at this moment? Through the recent painting practices of eight artists, the exhibition attempts to present how painting offers an alternative cognitive path through images and psychological language in a time when it is difficult to grasp. Through visual translation and problematization, they weave a network of images that reach the collective memory and the collective subconscious, thereby developing different and overlapping discourses.

伴随人工智能的发展与应用,人类与机器之间如何依存共生?混合/合成智能是否已成为现实?上海K11购物艺术中心联袂玛丽娜·阿布拉莫维奇、里克力·提拉瓦尼、林科等8位(组)国内外跨学科艺术家呈现多元视像数字艺术展——《VISIONS COMETRUE远景成真》,在“视像”与“幻象”虚实交错的世界中为观者带来启示,在艺术语境下观察人类如何突破自身认知局限,思考人与人造物的关系,不断迭代、更新人的自然感知以及人对世界的理解。

With the development and application of artificial intelligence, how is the dependency and symbiosis between humans and machines? Has hybrid/synthetic intelligence become a reality? K11 Shanghai, together with Marina Abramović, Rikli Tiravani, Lin Ke and other eight (group) domestic and international multidisciplinary artists, present VISIONS COMETRUE, a multifaceted visual digital art exhibition that enlightens the viewer in a world of "visuals" and "illusions". In this exhibition, the viewers will be inspired by the interplay of "visuals" and "illusions", observing how humans break through their own cognitive limitations and consider the relationship between human beings and man-made objects, constantly iterating and renewing human perception of nature and human understanding of the world in an artistic context.

全新展览“动感视界:来自泰特美术馆的欧普与动态艺术馆藏”将为观众们带来维克多·瓦沙雷利创作的包括《超新星》(Supernovae,1959-61)在内的一百余件知名艺术作品。本次展览还将以专门空间呈现纽约现代艺术博物馆曾经的展览“响应之眼”(The Responsive Eye,1965),维克多·瓦沙雷利是当时的参展艺术家之一。“响应之眼”是最具影响力也是最早捕捉到欧普艺术、以及“视觉”或“视网膜”艺术成为新趋势的展览之一,它在当时受到了广泛欢迎并轰动一时,成为热门现象级展览的早期代表。

The new exhibition 'The Dynamic Eye'will present several well-known works by Victor Vasarely, including Supernovae (1959-61). The exhibition will also feature a dedicated space for The Responsive Eye (1965), an exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, in which Victor Vasarely was one of the participating artists. 'The Responsive Eye was one of the most influential and earliest exhibitions to capture the new trend of Op Art, and 'visual'or 'retinal' art, which was widely welcomed and became a hit at the time. After becoming a sensation it came to be seen as an early representative of a popular and phenomenal exhibition.
